Urmi’s Beef Stir Fry from Dad
Ingredients
- 250 grams steak
- 100 grams cornflour
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tbsp chinese five spice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp catsup
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
Instructions
- Mix together 1 tbsp soya, 5 spice, salt, and pepper. Marinade beef in mixture.
- Stir together catsup, honey, vinegar, tomato puree and set aside for sauce.
- Break up egg in a shallow dish. Dip steak into cornflour, egg, then cornflour again.
- Fry in pan over medium heat until cooked to perfection.
- Serve with sauce and vegetables or rice.
